Arts are not dispensable

Schools today, often even home schools, seem to dismiss the arts as dispensable. While reading, writing, and math are of great importance, if we neglect the arts, what will our children read about? What will they write about? I believe the arts are paramount to a well-rounded education! Yet, often they are cost-prohibitive and not accessible to the average family…especially the average home school family. Thankfully, Bixby Educational Events provides those opportunities for us!

We have participated in multiple B.E.E. events over the last several years and have learned so much! From experiencing a taste of Korean Classical Music and Dance to watching history come to life through Pierre Cruzatte (My son just *had* to buy a jaw harp after that show!) to Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar and Charles Dicken’s A Christmas Carol, we have thoroughly enjoyed the high quality and variety of shows offered by B.E.E. I am so grateful to have been able to provide such experiences to my children…all thanks to B.E.E. We look forward to participating in the next event!
