Are you looking for a way to help this summer?

from Linda at compass USA:

There is no better way to introduce young people to other cultures than with our programs.  Having someone come into your home to learn from you and share with you is truly rewarding.  All of our girls in this program are seeing America for the first time.  Many of our host family children come away with a sincere desire to know more about the world.  Our scholarship program makes that possible for some, and that personal connection with their host brother or sister makes it possible for more.  Each year we hear wonderful stories from our host families who have traveled to China, France, Spain and Japan to visit with their student’s family. It’s fantastic!

We still have eight in Brea, but need families in Long Beach (9) and Dana Point (8)We need placements for both an adult female and male in each community.  Each group travels with a teacher from their school (male) and a female chaperone.

The programs vary some as to their afternoon activities, but they are basically the same.  The students arrive July 22nd and depart on August 10th.  If you have families in the other communities and would like to see their specific schedule(s), just let me know.  Again, not that it covers all that a family gives or share with our girls, but we do offer a $75 per week stipend to the host families.  The stipend is sent at the end of the program and for this two and half week program the family would receive $225.  Memories cannot be given a dollar value, as we consider our families priceless, but it can help a little!
